Music Bands
Introducing the sonic purveyors - A Local Band Bio

Formed in Grimsby in 1999, the sonic purveyors have worked hard to perfect their sound and build a fan base across the north of England.

The band met at school and on the gigging circuit, and played around the pubs, clubs and festivals in North Lincolnshire for three years.

They've built up a loyal fan base across the North of England that travel across the country to see them perform.
the sonic purveyors are:
Simon Cocks - Simon is the singer, songwriter, lead guitarist and front man of the band. His influences are broad-ranging (from AC/DC to Interpol) and all filter in to the sound of the sonic purveyors.

Toby Green - The pounding engine room of the sonic purveyors on drums, Toby is always a hit with the ladies on tour - and, occasionally, with the men too.
James Brown - James plays bass, and supplies the glamour from his secret past as a male model.

Adam Horrell - The latest addition to the line-up, Adam plays keyboards and second guitar whilst also studying at the prestigious Institute of Performing Arts in Liverpool.

the sonic purveyors have played with acts including Chikinki and The Complete Stone Roses
Press
There was a lot of energy in the performance, barely suppressed in the more haunting, melancholy numbers and unleashed in short, adrenaline-filled bursts... an aural dose of hormones, they simply oozed rockstar chic. - music/elsiespringhead30jun04.html

Musically, they had a style all of their own and their audacious stage performance really got the audience standing on tables and cheering for more. - www.bestoriginalband.com

Music Reviews - The Zutons and Little Flames at Asylum - Monday 18th October By Andy Dykes, Photos by Darren Rogers
The sky is black and clear tonight. This means that for the first time in a while, the stars are being given the chance to shine on Hull. This also means that it's pretty bitter outside. Inside Asylum tonight, it doesn't seem to be any warmer. Maybe that's why so many people are huddled together so closely? Or maybe Read more...

Music Reviews - The 22-20s, Cathy Davey and Willy Mason - Thursday 14th October - Sweet n Sour at The Welly By Andy Dykes, Photos by Darren Rogers
Outside The Welly Club tonight, people huddle together or dance absent-mindedly on the spot. It's dark and it's cold. But there's good reason to be braving the elements tonight. The buzz surrounding The 22-20s is increasing so steadily, it's becoming more like a roar. And the interest isn't lost on the good people of Hull who flock Read more...

Music Reviews - The Sunnyside Of The Day
By Nicholas Boldock
First things first: I've had a really shit day. Having been in negotiations with a certain Hull-based company regarding possible employment, today it all went tits up as they pulled the plug and informed me that, after three meetings with various luminaries from the firm, my services would not be required Read more...

Music Reviews - Park and Ride, Blue Sand and David Devant and his Spirit Wife, SweetNSour 7th Oct By Michelle Dee
Arriving at 9pm the Welly looked bleak and unpromising. A few people stood between the cold metal railings used to slow down the club-goers in their desire to get inside. Mo, my photographer for the night, and I dutifully joined what was the makings of a queue. With a rail on either side we were not unlike lambs or pigs Read more...
