Adelphi NightClub
22nd August Adelphi - The Schoolgirls & Emma Rugg
By Jason Karlson
The bank holiday weekend at the Adelphi club is kick started by new band, The School girls. Two guys who unfortunately sound like twenty. To quote Nick Hornby's "High Fidelity" they're the kind of second rate punk group you'd pay a months wages not to see. They scream and shout their way through a tuneless set with some awful second hand punk-esque riffs. Maybe these guys will get better with practise and gain something that makes them good, like some songs, for example.

A collective sigh of relief can be heard when Ms. Rugg, fresh from the making of a video for her album, Isolated Impression, takes to the stage. One women and a guitar who has more of a presence than any band. She launches into a new song which she tells us to call "The song which has no name yet". As well as a handful of new songs Emma runs through the very best of the songs from her album such as "Prelude to the End" (her current single) and the urgent sounding "To love you".

Interviews - Robert Needham Sculptor
That's when I met Robert Needham. My first impression was that maybe he was a member of the clergy, presenting me with a warm smile and outstretched hand,
smartly dressed, little thin maybe, definitely an interesting looking character.

Brilliant. No longer am I just alcohol dependent but I have also turned into a narcotics addict. The Librium has been reduced fairly substantially and its beginning to hurt. Next thing you know I'll be sniffing glue with 14 year olds. I was actually waiting by the medicine cabinet tonight for my drugs. If Santa had dropped down the chimney I'd have mugged him for Librium.

- My September 11th 2001
By Mo
I'd spent the better part of my working life in Wall Street, having migrated over on the software developer slave trade back in the early 1990's, so Manhattan was in effect my second home, and I had often cause to visit clients in various floors of the nearby twin towers.

Ask Dorothy Advice Column, - My life is ruined.
Dear Dorothy,
writing to you is a last resort. I am so depressed I could kill myself.
Last year I spent all summer with my dad converting our garage into a practice room for our band. We had weeks of great weather, barbecues - me, my girlfriend and my buddies all shared this great close bond.
It was the happiest time of my life...or so I thought. Everything started to go wrong,
