Jim Dunlop 535q Cry-baby Wah-Wah
By Dave Fox
|
On Thursday 30th Sept Blind Frog Ernie played a gig at the Adelphi and accidentally left behind an
effects pedal (Jim Dunlop 535q Cry-baby Wah-Wah) worth just short of £200.
I have contacted the Adelphi but Paul says it hasn't been found and I wondered if you could put
a lost ad on your site for me.
It was lost the Thursday before the Adelphi birthday weekend.
|
|
I have included a photo of the pedal which I used quite a lot and I cannot afford to replace.
We have even have to cut songs from our set because the sound of the pedal was too important.
If you can help me it would be really great.
Thanks,
Dave Fox
If you can help find this please contact Dave on

I live abroad due to circumstances beyond my control but come 'ome to 'Ull as often as possible.
I must say that I was surprised at how negatively outsiders seem to view the city. To me it is the friendliest city in the world.

Around a 100 people gathered in Pearson Park on Saturday (18th September), for a Reclaim the Streets

Band Interviews - Sweet n Sour at the Welly Club 22/07/2004 Mad Action Interview By Andy Dykes
|
|
After the show I go backstage. Admittedly it's partly to use the toilet, but also to catch up
with the bands, particularly Mad Action, with whom an interview has been arranged.
The lead singer and guitarist/backing-vocalist from Kasabian are immediately welcoming,
allowing me to use their toilet without fear of violence or harassment.

Aircraft and Airshows - The Yorkshire Airshow - Elvington 2004 By Rachael
|
|
On 21st August 2004 I took to the rails at 5.30am bound for Hull. The reason?
Elvington Yorkshire Airshow. Traveling with anticipation of how the day was going
to unfold; my last experience being sat in the pouring rain at Waddington,
I thought what aircraft I was going to see, a Harrier? Tornado? Spitfire?

Music Reviews - The Sunnyside Of The Day By Nicholas Boldock

First things first: I've had a really shit day. Having been in negotiations with a certain Hull-based
company regarding possible employment, today it all went tits up as they pulled the plug and informed
me that, after three meetings with various luminaries from the firm, my services would not be required

Music Reviews - Park and Ride, Blue Sand and David Devant and his Spirit Wife, SweetNSour 7th Oct By Michelle Dee
|
|
Arriving at 9pm the Welly looked bleak and unpromising.
A few people stood between the cold metal railings used to slow down the club-goers
in their desire to get inside.
Mo, my photographer for the night, and I dutifully joined what was the makings of a queue.
With a rail on either side we were not unlike lambs or pigs

Music Reviews - Har Mar Superstar at Asylum - 30th September By Andy Dykes, Photos by Darren Rogers

Above the stage in Asylum tonight hangs a giant g-string.
It's not the remnant of some bizarre student ritual; it's the calling card of Har Mar Superstar.
He's marked his territory.
Tonight, this venue and all the beautiful people who show up to dance to his
insane party grooves will be his.
Har Mar bounds onto
