Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (15)
By Stephen Bielby
next page

Metal Gear Solid (PS1) and Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) where excellent including their special mission discs between those releases. The creator named Mr. Hideo Kojima started the Metal Gear Solid project with the hope of creating something special. He wanted to create a beautiful game much like Final Fantasy X that was based around the three guidelines which where Tactical, Espionage, Action.

The series of Metal Gear games have been very successful amongst gamers and I recommend you should purchase this game. Believe me I still have Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty which where amazing games, but now I added Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater to my collection ... and I think it's the best yet!
Metal Gear Project Timeline
It all began more than 15 years ago ... In a time when 3D console games were still a distant dream, a legend was born. On July 12, 1987, Metal Gear was released for the MSX2 system. Three years later, on July 19, 1990, the sequel Metal Gear Solid 2: Solid Snake. However, this was to be Konami's last MSX2 game, and with the demise of that system, the Metal Gear series went into a long period of sleep.
In the gaming community, Metal Gear was still remembered and revered as a lost masterpiece.

Then, 8 years later, on September 8, 1998 ... Metal Gear made its triumphant return as Metal Gear Solid, this time backed by the 3D capabilities of the PlayStation console. I think it was the year 2002 or 2003 when Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty came out on the PlayStation 2.
On March 2005, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater hit the shelves
When you first start the game you will be subjects to some FMV sequences that last a long time... about 30+ minutes of cut scenes. Don't worry though, they're skippable if you get bored of them... I think they are worth watching though... anyway, you learn that this game is all about stealth.

The key is to stay low and hide till you get used to the game, then you can do what you like.
To put it best you must use stealth all the way through the game and use the many different camouflage suits and face paints to make your way around if you don't want to get shot at by the Soviet soldiers.
August 1964. Realising at last the urgency of the situation, the CIA forms a plan to recapture Sokolov. They dispatch the covert Fox unit to Sokolov's research facility, located to the south of the great Soviet fortress of Groznyj Grad. Led by former SAS member Major Zero, Fox is a next-generation special-forces unit that operates both as a specialized combat group and as a covert intelligence outfit. The Fox unit's modus operandi is to send a single agent, backed by radio support from afar, into enemy territory to carry out solo sneaking missions.

August 24. A soldier swoops down from out of the blue sky. The man's code name is Naked Snake.
