H.A.R.T Volunteer Support Worker - Closing Date: Friday 4th May 07

H.A.R.T. (Holderness Area Rural Transport) is a voluntary managed community transport group operating local needs based transport solutions. They are seeking to recruit a Volunteer Support Worker for 30 hours per week, salary £19, 000 pro rata with pension contribution. The post is funded for 1 year.

The importance of Community Transport goes way beyond the basic role of getting people from A to B. The combined efforts of volunteer drivers, organisers and committee members can make a real difference to the lives of those they help. And that can make the community itself a much better place to live in.
This new post of volunteer support worker will recruit, support and supervise volunteers. H.A.R.T. is looking for someone with proven supervisory experience along with strong communication and motivational skills. A good organiser with office and computer skills. Knowledge of the voluntary sector and partnership working would be an advantage.

The post is based in Hornsea with travel to Bridlington and Withernsea when required.

Closing date for applications is Friday 4th May 2007.
