arc Project Worker - Fixed term Contract (Until April 31st 07 - subject to review at the end of this period). Fee £3,500.00 - £4,500.00 depending on experience. arc is looking for a Project Worker to develop and deliver aspects of the arc learning programme in relationship in particular to the engagement of young people in schools.

The Project Worker will work with the arc Learning Officer and other members of the team to deliver dynamic, quality learning to Primary and Secondary School pupils and young people in the Hull and Humber Sub-region. They will also generally assist the Learning Officer in the deliver of other programmes. Whilst the Project Worker will join the arc team at the arc building in Hull's City Centre, much of the delivery of the programme will take place within schools or through site visits.

The Project Worker will be expected to carry out their own administration and work remotely for some of their time. Person Specification: Experience of working with schools, including project development, delivery and evaluation. Experience or understanding in issues relating to the built environment. Creative and imaginative teaching and delivery skills. Willingness to work in a team but to be self-managing. Flexibility, and ability to respond to the needs of young people. Be able, with prior knowledge, to work outside of standard office hours. Make effective plans, and keep relevant records. An awareness of relevant health & safety issues. Have own transport. Access to internet preferable.

The Project Worker will need to submit details for a CRB Police Records Check. Terms and Conditions: The contract is offered on a freelance / fixed term basis by arc. The contract is to start in January 2007 and be initially completed by April 30th 2007. arc anticipate that the role will continue after this - to be reviewed again in August 07 - subject to funding. The role is anticipated to be approximately equivalent to 2 days per week.These dates will be as mutually agreed with arc and the Project Worker, and are expected to concentrate around period of most delivery, but to include all preparation, administration and evaluation time. The fee will be paid in three equal payments, within 28 days of receipt of an invoice. The fee is inclusive of all VAT. The Project Worker is responsible for all Income Tax and National Insurance payments in relation to this fee. We will also contribute to expenses.
