Project Co-ordinator - Closing Date 12 noon Tuesday 16th January- Vacancy Filled

Project Co-ordinator - Local Authority Design and Historic Environment Champion Training Programme (LADHCT). Fixed Term Contract. Fee £3,000.00 - £4,500.00 depending on experience.
arc has designed a complementary programme of skills training for local authorities in three geographic areas of: Kingston Upon Hull; Humber Sub-Region [North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, East Riding]; and Yorkshire.

Whilst each programme has distinct delivery targets and activities they share a common objective and method:
To raise design quality in the region by increasing knowledge and skills in Local Authority teams, through experiential and participatory workshops led by creative and skilled professionals.
|
|
The programme will be delivered by arc, in partnership with other agencies, using regional resources. The initial programme will be completed by March 31st 2007, with some continuation.
|
arc is looking to recruit a Freelance Project Coordinator, to assist the arc team in the research, management, delivery and evaluation of the Local Authority Training Programme.
The Project Coordinator will carry out the logistical planning of the delivery days, and the collation of content for participant packs and support materials.
|

|
We would expect the Project Coordinator to be present at most of the delivery days as part of the arc team, and to maintain a regular contact with the arc team and partners.
|
|
They would collate and use a database of contacts (participants and partners), and liaise with all those involved.
We estimate the Project Co-ordinator's work to include approximately 20 days, with equivalent to 4 days of evaluation, and equivalent to 6 days administration. For this we will pay £3,00.00, plus travel expenses.

Person Specification:
Experience of project development, delivery and evaluation
-
Experience or understanding in issues relating to the built environment
-
Willingness to work in a team but to be self-managing
-
Flexibility, and ability to respond to the needs of local authority officers and members
-
Be able, with prior knowledge, to work outside of standard office hours
-
Make effective plans, and keep relevant records
-
An awareness of relevant health & safety issues
-
Have own transport
-
Access to internet preferable

The Project Worker will need to submit details for a CRB Police Records Check.
Terms and Conditions:
-
The contract is offered on a freelance / fixed term basis by arc.
-
The contract is to start in January 2007 and be initially completed by April 30th 2007.

arc anticipate that the role will continue after this - to be reviewed again in August 07 - subject to funding.

These dates will be as mutually agreed with arc and the Project Worker, and are expected to concentrate around period of most delivery, but to include all preparation, administration and evaluation time.

The fee will be paid in three equal payments, within 28 days of receipt of an invoice. The fee is inclusive of all VAT. The Project Worker is responsible for all Income Tax and National Insurance payments in relation to this fee. We will also contribute to expenses.
