Basic Skills Worker - Hull Hostel Forum Independent Living Skills Project - Salary £20,895 - £ 22,936 p.a.
37.5 hrs per wk- Vacancy Filled

Working for Hull Hostel Forum's ILS Project you will deliver Basic Numeracy, Literacy
and ICT learning programmes to homeless people in Hull.
The successful applicant will work as part of the ILS Team assisting homeless people
to improve their numeracy, literacy and ICT skills through accredited learning
programmes structured to meet the standards of the Adult Literacy and Numeracy core curriculum.

Applications are welcomed from suitably experienced facilitators of learning
programmes who are familiar with the Skills for Life strategy and have experience
and knowledge of the client group.
The post offers the opportunity for continuing professional development.
Applicants will be computer literate; the post would ideally suit someone with
experience of working in the community with vulnerable people and who has good
communication skills.

The Independent Living Skills Project delivers learning programmes to learners
who have found traditional routes into education inappropriate.
The work will be innovative, challenging and rewarding and the successful applicant
will be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work as part of a team whilst having the
ability and confidence to work on their own initiative.
