Outside-In Development Worker - Closing Date: Friday 19th January 07- Vacancy Filled

Are you passionate about: Drawing people in to history-packed places? Creating exciting learning experiences? Working with volunteers? Then this unusual job could be for you! Hull's 700 year old Holy Trinity church, in the very centre of Hull, is the largest parish church in England and is packed full of history but it is currently visited by relatively few people. The church, the City Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund want that to change.

The post is for 30 hours per week, salary NJC scale 6 scp 26 (£20, 895 per annum pro-rata). Funding is secured until 31st December 2008.

To do this job well you will need to: be prepared to work closely with people committed to the Christian faith and be comfortable in a church have experience of working with groups of volunteers understand how to create a safe high quality visitor environment relish publicising what is on offer and engaging with other agencies create the means by which better access may be sustained.
