Sustainable Food Education Officer - Closing Date : 15th September 2006- Vacancy Filled

The University of Bradford School of Lifelong Education and Development are looking for a highly motivated professional to work on sustainable food focused teacher-training programmes across Yorkshire and Humber region.

The post holder's work will include:
  • The development of rural-urban school networks, working on whole school approaches to sustainable food issues in and around the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks
  • The facilitation of sustainable food focused teacher training workshops, working with a wide range of strategic partners across Yorkshire & Humber region.
Job ref : RCW1213. Salary £28,010 - £31,525 per annum. Fixed-term contract to March 2009.

The ideal candidate should have substantial teaching experience. They will have strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal abilities, but above all have a real passion for embedding sustainable food issues within our region's primary and secondary schools. This post can be offered as a secondment opportunity and applicants are welcome to apply on a part-time/job-share basis.
