Hull BTCV Green Gym has a vacancy for a Project Officer.

37.5 hours per week
Salary £16,822-22,526 per annum
Based in Hull
Project funding until March 2007
BTCV Green Gym is a new approach to creating healthier communities and a healthy environment. It offers people an alternative to visits to the gym and sports centre, and the chance to improve their physical and mental health by being involved in practical conservation activities.

The role of project officer involves managing the implementation of the BTCV Green Gym project to support local residents in planning a programme of practical conservation activities and developing two self-sustaining community groups.
This includes promoting the project and recruiting new participants, liaising with local health services, managing a budget and supervising Green Gym sessions.
  • The successful candidate will have:Experience of planning projects, leading small groups and individuals
  • Good communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Full driving licence
