A under strength Edinburgh Capitals visited the Hull Arena on Wednesday night and Hull Stingrays can go into this Saturdays game against Newcastle Vipers on the back of a 7-1 victory over thier Scottish counterparts. Jeff Glowa opened the scoring after one and a half minutes beating Troffimenkoff . on a 1-1.

Andrei Nikolaev doubled the Rays lead before the end of the first. 15 minutes into the second period, Dave Phillips put his shot through Troffimenkoff's legs and Dru Burgess made it 4-0 with less than a minute left in the second. Three goals in the first 6 minutes of the third period made it 7-0 and Rick Strachan gave Ladislav Kudnra a rest. Sam Roberts got to play the final 14 minutes.

Bohme managed to bag a goal and break The Stingrays shut-out. Saturdays home game with Newcastle is the last home game of the regular season and could decide who finishes second in the league. Face off 5:30
