After a midweek 2-0 home defeat to newly crowned BNL champions Bracknell Bees, Guildford Flames visited the Hull Arena. It didn't take long for them to make their mark and a defence splitting pass from Nicky Chinn gave Rastislav Palov a 1-1 which he hit above Ladislave Kudnra's catcher.

Jeff Glowa then squandered a 1-1 but thirty seconds later he had an opportunity to make amends when he was given a penalty shot. He skated close to the keeper, let a shot off and saw it agonizingly wide of the net.

In an almost replay of the first Guildford goal, Kohut beat Ladi to make it 2-0 to the Flames. Three minutes into the second period and Koulikov pulled one back when his shot took a deflection from Dixon's stick and looped over Miroslav Bielik.

Jeff Glowa's hard work finally paid off in the third period as he scored two goals to give The Rays a 1 goal lead with seven minutes remaining. Guildford Flames pulled Bielik for a extra forward and with Alipov in the penalty box Guildford piled on the pressure in the last two minutes.

David Oliver got the equaliser with just over one minute left in the game. After almost 7 minutes of overtime Neil Liddiard got the game winning goal when his shot looped over Kudnra's shoulder and into the net. The next home game is against Edinbugh Capitals on Wednesday 23rd February. Face off 7:30
