Hull Stingrays carried on their good form against Elite League opposition when they faced London Racers at the Hull Arena on Wednesday night.

Andre Nikolaev opened the scoring when he hit a cracking slap shot into the top corner while Brent Pope was sitting out a 2+10 penalty for checking from behind.
Although the Stingrays had numerous power plays and opportunities the scores remained the same until the second period when London scored the equalizing goal. Steve Moria finished off a well worked move with Alipov sitting out a penalty.

Jeff Glowa and Slava Koulikov both had chances to get the Stingrays back in front before the end of the second period.
Hull Stingrays carried on the 3rd period as they finished off the second and the pressure soon paid off when Slava Koulikov crossed the blue line, faked the slap shot and let off a wrist shot .

Slyvain Daigle got his glove to the puck but it still went into the roof of the net.
London Racers tried to up the pace of the game but a Craig Minard inspired defence kept the Racers at bay. And Dru Burgess ensured Hull a well earned victory when he scored an empty net goal.

The Stingrays left the ice to a standing ovation from the home crowd.

Next game is away to the Fife Flyers 7:15pm Saturday 30th October Winter Cup
