Hull Stingrays vs Dundee Stars

Hull Stingrays kept their hopes of progressing to the semi-finals of the winter cup alive after a 4-2 win over an ill-disciplined Dundee Stars.

3 first period power-play goals killed off the Stars. Alipov opened the scoring when he tipsied in a Boothroyd shot over Ridler in the Stars net.
Adam Radmall carried on his point-scoring streak when Wray found him in front of the net with plenty of time and room to get the Stingrays second.

Scott Wray bagged Stingrays third with two and half minutes left. Alipov left the ice early after receiving a puck in the face which left Stingrays with only six imports - Nikoleav was on the side lines after his misfortunes in Bracknell on Wednesday night.
Barnes pulled one back for the Stars but Dave Pyatt soon restored Hull's three goal lead when he raced away and put the puck through Glenn Ridler's legs. Hull looked tired and when Dundee got another goal from a John Dolan slapshot, I started to worry. Last season's Stingrays would have thrown this game away but Hull managed to hold on.

The Stingrays play host to the Elite League's London Racers on Wednesday night. Face off 8.00pm.
