Saturday night saw Dundee Stars visit the Hull Arena in what was a action packed game, with Hull Stingrays coming out 7-4 winners.

With Jeff Glowa suspended, Dave Phillips out (broken hand) and the departure of Craig Minard, it meant third line players rotating on the first line along with Dru Burgess and Scott Wray.
Slava Koulikov opened the scoring in the second minute, Corbett levelled it out after 14 minutes but a Scott Wray goal gave Hull the edge at the end of the first period.
Barnes made it all square again two minutes into the second period.

Three goals in 6 minutes from Scott Wray, Alipov and Slava Koulikov saw Hull take a three goal advantage into the third period.

Early in the third Tim Mckay got his first goal in a Stingrays shirt he received the puck at the red line and broke away, beating Lindsey with ease.
Two goals from Borgatello and Hutchinson pulled The Stars right back into the game but Slava Koulikov got his hat-trick goal and killed off Stars' hopes of a come back.
With only thirty seconds left in the game Jason Shmyr decided to goon it up. He came straight out of the penalty box and decided to have a go with 18 year old Kev Phillips, who took three or four punches before he knew what was happening. Kev then dropped his gloves and landed two or three himself.

Shymr may have won the fight, but what does the scoreboard say?
Stingrays visited Guildford Flames on Sunday in the Winter Cup and came out winners with a 1-0 victory, assistant coach Dru Burgess getting the only goal of the game.
