Hull Stingrays vs Nottingham Panthers -
11 September 2004

Hull Stingray's first away game of the season ended in defeat but the team can leave with their heads held high after keeping the Nottingham Panthers to only two goals and keeping the Panthers fans very quiet.

The Stingrays must have been fearing the worst after 17 seconds when Craighead hit a slapshot that beat Kundra low-down on the glove side.
Hull had chances to equalize with Koulikov being denied by a Nottingham player's stick and Minard having a shot hit the bar.

Magdosko doubled the Panthers lead just after 27 minutes when Craighead robbed Radmall of the puck and made a pass to Magdosko who hit hard past Kundra.
Despite Hull having three 5-3 powerplays, they still didn't manage to beat Nottingham man of the match Cruickshank in the Panthers net.

The week before, Stingrays opened their campaign against Milton Keynes and Scott Wray soon had the fans going with a man of the match performance and bagging a hat trick of goals and an assist.
Milton Keynes kept the game close but Wray wrapped the game up with less than five minutes left when a beautiful move sent Alipov away down the wing and when he whipped the puck in front of the goal there was no mistakes by the hat-trick hero.

Sports - Fast Electric Radio Control Model Boats
By Stuart Batley
For some years now I've been going through the motions, like most model enthusiasts do, buying in turn boats, planes, cars, heli's (both IC and electric) but most settle down to one, mine's 'fast electric boats'. I first started by buying an ARTR kit from my local 'Hobby Stores' and then off to the lake and join the club there. On arrival I was taken aback by the speed of some of the hydro type boats, whizzing by. Read more...

Sports - 2004 Beverley Annual 10k Race and Fun Run By Mo
On a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning May 16th, I headed off to the Beverley Annual 10k run to capture some photographs and do my best to find a racer who may write about the experience to accompany them. Clearly as it's me writing this I was unsuccessful, maybe next year, so you'll have to put up with my scribbling of the day. Read more...

Sports Football - Farewell 2 Division 3 By Nicholas Boldock
It may have taken nineteen years to come along, but Hull City's promotion party was a celebration well worth the wait, and one that will be remembered for a long time yet. Sports - Take Me to the River - Carp Anglers by Mo
I am an amateur angler, mostly river fishing as a youth at a time when televisions were black and white. I was 14 maybe, I had my own rods (3) and tackle, a selection of floats, some ledger weights, hooks and line, all kept in our shed alongside my recent purchase of maggots. I always took great pleasure in seeing my four sisters scream and run at the sight of these little yellow .. Read more...
