Hull Stingrays followed up last weeks four point weekend with a home win and an away loss against last seasons playoff champions, the Guildford Flames.

Hull managed to recover well after being beat 5-2 at the Spectrum Arena - they managed to claw their way back and get a 3-2 win at home.
The first two periods Didn't produce many chances but the Flames managed to take advantage of some poor defending from the Stingrays and Peter Konder managed to slot the puck past Ladislav Kudrna despite him managing to get a touch on it.
Two Guildford players received 10 minute penalties before the end of the first period; Milos Melicherik for checking to the head and Neil Liddiard received an unsportsmanlike penalty for hitting the puck away.

The scores stayed the same until 49 minutes had gone when both teams came out looking more hungry for the points in the third period.
With 53:25 gone, Scott Wray hit a stray stick towards where the play was, resulting in a rare penalty shot and a 10 minute penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.
But it was Hull who struck first - Scott Wray passing to Geff Glowa, who hit a first timer into the roof of Miroslav Bielik's net.

Jason Baird, who provided Konder for the first goal of the night, managed to put the puck past Kudnra. This seemed to flick a switch with the Stingrays players as straight from the face-off Minard hammered in a slapshot under Bielik's glove.
Adam Radmal's first career goal sent the Stingrays fans wild - he received the puck from Dave Phillips on the blue line and the resulting shot was fumbled into the net by a disapointed Bielik.
Stingrays managed to hold out for the remaining two and half minutes but a penalty on Glowa made it a nail biting end.

Next week sees two games at the Hull Arena with Coventry Blaze visiting on Saturday (16th) and Cardiff Devils on Sunday (17th).
