Tonight saw league leaders Bracknell Bees Visit the Hull Arena and give the
Stingrays a chance to pull two points back. Unfortunately it wasn't to be.
Martin Masa opened the scoring when Kudnra failed to keep hold of a soft shot
and dropped the puck onto Masa's stick.
Jeff Glowa soon levelled the score when Scott Wray broke away down the left
hand side and squared the puck to Glowa who hit home past Lyle.
|
|
|
Masa got his second of the period a minute later but there was an amazing individual effort
from Nikolaev who spun out of two checks, skinned the same two players and roofed
the puck while falling down and made it all square at the end of the first!
Two goals from Campbell made it 4-2 to the Bees but Nikolaev soon pulled one back.
|
|
Campbell then got a ten minute misconduct penalty and Slava Koulikov hammered the puck
into an empty net after the puck deflected of Rees' skate.
|
Hull Stingrays took the lead for the first time just over ten minutes into the third period with
Glowa getting his second.
Bracknell's player/coach Ellis equalized with 4 minutes left to take the game into overtime
where he beat Kudnra to take two points home with him.

|
|
The previous night Hull Stingrays took two points off the Fife Flyers with a great 3-2
road win - three points from this weekend is not a bad result.
Newcastle Vipers visit the Hull Arena next Sunday. Face off 5:30
