breakdance performance and battle, featuring: Redlocz,
OK Original Killer, Comanche Sly, Titanium Crew, Cause 'n' FX, Breakers Unify, Kingston B-Boyz & Girlz and
the Original Human Beatbox plus the odd surprise.

Just three years in England has seen Gul Naz gain a strong reputation for delivering traditional
and contemporary Kurdish dance music to full-on audiences across the country.
Infectious rhythms from keys, dumbek, electric saz and violins.

One of the unique figures on the English folk scene. Fiddler Jim Eldon draws upon a rich repertoire of traditional East Riding folk music, his own great songs and some inspired cover versions - from Eddie Cochran to Meatloaf and The Clash. He has just released his new album 'Home From Sea'. Jim will be joined by Sheik on drums.

Hull based Breakdance and Body-Popping crew hold regular workshops promoting breakin' locally and nationally.
Battling out today with Breakers Unify from Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester to the Full Flava Sound System.

|
Leeds based hip-hop band, recently performed live on Radio 1's XFM black radio station as part of
the celebration of hip-hop culture week.
|
Located in the rose garden area, the Lamp will be playing summer sounds to put on sun cream to
(fingers crossed!) In association with live@lamp and the Sunday Service there will be a small
(but perfectly formed) stage with acoustic acts performing throughout the afternoon.
Blunt Food will be serving a variety of snacks and meals, and selling fresh fruit cocktails (alcohol free).
Scrapstore will be running lamp making workshops throughout the day for the little people and families.
It will be a perfect place to relax, get a bite to eat and enjoy some great music, and a lovely
compliment to the rest of the Grassroots festivities.
Artists performing on the Café stage include: the Last People on Earth, Glen Raymond, Simon Crook, Johnny Ryan
and Martin Clappison.

Guest DJs play reggae, funk and jungle.
This year's event has been made possible with support from the Arts Council England,
the City Arts Units' Live Music Fund, Wyke Area Committee, Hull Parks and Gardens, Hull DOC, HPSS and
BBC Raw Talent. It is coordinated by Full Flava and Duffy-Howard Productions.
