80's Sweets
By DJ Chris Plant
I saw some rip lips the other day and it brought fond memories flashing back! Does anyone remember the 80's sweets? They were so much better than the crap on offer today.
Here are my favourite 80's sweets:
Milk Bottles - made by Haribo - fatter than the Maynards Milk Gums giving more of a chew. Some people prefer the gums, some prefer the bottles. Mmm Milky Milky.
Full red lips - perfect for Mick Jagger impressions!!
Pint Pots: little bottles of beer and sweets - what could be better ?
Spearmint Chews - delicious chewy sweets with a fabulous spearmint taste.
Milk Teeth - strawberry and vanilla flavour gums
Shrimps - raspberry flavour chewy candy crustations
Foam Mushrooms - fruit flavour foamy jellies - one of the all time favourites.
Made by Malaco - the big spongy pink and white ones we remember from when we were young.
Apple flavoured candy in the form of s-t-r-e-t-c-h-y laces.
Is your mouth watering ???
I would like people to email me with their favourite 80's sweets, so that I can add them to my list.

Right I'm off to the sweetshop.

I have just visited Newland Fisheries. It was fantastic, the fish is white, the
batter is light and crispy, the chips are tasty. Definitely the best on Newland
Ave and surrounding area. Highly recommended.

Follow a narrow path off Newland Avenue by the side of Skelton's shop

Birthdays are special. They are even more special as you hurtle rapidly towards the door marked

From the ashes of the defunct Sydney Scarborough building rises Hull's one and

Woke up this morning and had an overwhelming desire for Chinese so I decided to test out Wins,35 Spring Bank with my 10 year old son. They have a superb lunchtime offer - £2.50 for any main course minus fillet steak and duck dishes.
