Grilled Tuna Steaks and Shitake Mushrooms with Cocoa Pasta and Tomato and Avocado Salad

One of our soon to be featured writers, Ruth, came over to the UK to feature in this food review special, and see her cousins, myself included. Not Credit Crunch but Pricey Munch.

Here are the ingredients:

2 Tuna Steaks
Shitake Mushrooms
2 Tomatoes
1 Avocado
Cocoa Pasta
1 lemon
Salt and Pepper

Start the pasta: Put a pot of water on to boil, add some salt and olive oil. When it's boiling, add the pasta and continue to boil till it's cooked; 9 minutes for al dente.
Chop the tomatoes and avocado for the salad.

Stick the tuna steaks on foil under the grill, add the shitake mushrooms and season with salt, pepper, some lemon juice and olive oil.
The tuna only takes a couple of minutes so don't overcook.
Plate up the pasta, tuna steak, mushrooms and salad, drizzle the salad with balsamic vinegar and you're done!
