Italian Corner Bakery, Trinity Indoor Market, Hull
By Michael Smith Age 15

I chose to have a take away for a treat!

The office and I chose to have an Italian meal from the Italian Corner Bakery in Trinity Market.

We ordered the following:
  • Ham and pineapple pizza - Plenty of ham and pineapple

  • Bolognese pasta - Just the right amount of sauce
  • Chicken pasta in white wine sauce - Chicken was cooked to perfection

  • Pepperoni pasta - Very spicy but very nice
  • Doner meat loaf - Loads of doner meat and beautiful bread

  • Ham and onion loaf - Nice ham but not so keen on onion sauce
  • Brioche - Very nice, sweet, perfect and we got it for free!

  • A cookie - Brilliant, not to doughy but not to hard
  • Two almond biscuits - Very nice but very different
  • And a giant loaf - Looks very nice (didn't eat it, too ful!l)
Davide, the owner of the Italian Corner Bakery was very nice and polite and even threw in a free Italian loaf and an Italian style brioche. All this food and it only cost £12 - it was well worth it. It was ready in a matter of minutes and we were well entertained whilst we waited.
My favourite was the Brioche as I have a bit of a sweet tooth.

Cilla's favourite was the spicy Pepperoni pasta and last but not least, Jane's favourite was the Chicken pasta in a white wine sauce.
I recommend Davide and his Italian Corner Bakery for its excellent service, beautiful food, its huge portions and its low prices.

Truly a filling lunch 8/10

Food and Drink - The Nest Café, Princes Avenue By Fiona Carr
Dropping something off at a friend's one morning I finally decided to try the 'little sister' to the Boar's Nest and have a breakfast. Long an admirer of this building when it was a butchers, I had taken an interest in the conversion but never got around to eating there. The full breakfast was ordered and a cup of herbal tea. Despite the weather I decided to sit outside, Read more...

Food and Drink - Sleepers Bar, Newland Avenue By Fiona Carr
Recently under new ownership this has gone from a shaky start as one of the first cafe bars on Newland, rather than the already chi chi Princes Ave, to an established favourite for the discerning. On a whim, my somewhat dizzy companion and I just turned up for a mulled wine. It was buzzing with a loud but not aggressively so level Read more...

After seeing the 15 minute promise posters in the window of Revolution every day for a couple of weeks, I decided to go in and put them to the test. Food and Drink - Restaurant Reviews - ASK Warehouse, Princes Dock Street, Hull By Jill Turner
Date 25th November. Party of 14. Table for 8pm. When we turned up it was very busy. Our table had been put in the corner next to the cooking area. We did not have enough tables, I had to sit on the corner of a table and eat my starter. It was not until I spoke to the Manager that they increased our tables by 1. He told me; all you had to do was ASK! Because we were a large number Read more...
