The Post Office of Doctor Moreau (5/5)
By Kenton Hall
(1/5), (2/5), (3/5), (4/5), (5/5).
Part 1.

"Why did he paint an eye on the side of his head, and walk around like a name tag that read, "I am Pablo. Ask me how"?"

I considered this. It was both a good point, and well put. I wasn't having that.

"So, what's the danger?" I asked, even though I knew there would be one. This was Moreau, after all. "So, he get his jollies sorting one village's post according to fish resemblance. It could be worse."

"Don't be a jackass, McCloud. The post is information. Private information."
"About people's lives - how they are, who they are, how they live. How do you think that's going to motivate a man with Moreau's talents and er... outlook?"

"He's going to make it right." Even as I said it, I shuddered. Moreau's right - since the accident - often left you feeling very wrong indeed.

"Exactly. And Rilkington is only the beginning. The man is still a genius. If he can control one village, he can infiltrate every information source in the country. In the world. You have to stop him."
"Well, obviously, Dennis. What am I? A first-time narrator?"

"Don't be smart, McCloud. Well, not until tomorrow anyway."

"What's the plan?"

"It's probably best if I tell you off-page," he replied, "For the sake of suspense."

My people (this was how I thought of them now) and the cowboys lodged Read more...

I don't know exactly when I got into it but there you are. Like most lads, I suppose it was the thought of being Bristol's answer to Elvis that was some kind of inspiration.
