We saw many other bands whilst walking around, but the best bands on the Saturday were Faithless (best live act for me), Dido (what a fox) and The Killers (awesome)
V Stage - Kosheen, Jamie Cullum, Snow Patrol, Badly Drawn Boy, The Thrills, N.E.R.D.
On Sunday, we saw the following artists:

NME Stage - Starsailor, Massive Attack
The Strongbow Rooms - Lottie (DJ Set)
Again, we saw loads of other people, but the above we saw the most of. My favourite bands/artists on the Sunday were Jamie Cullum (amazing all-rounder), Snow Patrol (WOW), Badly Drawn Boy (when he sang Year of the Rat), The Thrills (God, they're good), N.E.R.D. (not as good as I thought but still good), Starsailor (unreal. What a band), Massive Attack (think Snatch when the caravan is being burnt down) at night!
The whole weekend was kind of unreal and a real mind blower. V put on a great festival and I've got to say, cared for the people. They had people going round with Suncream, Tic Tacs and Frisbees and all sorts of other Free goodies. The staff were VERY well trained and very organised. Well done V2004 !!!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot the best bit .. I had a heated debate with Vernon Kay (as he was about to go up a crane to film for E4). We argued about who was better - Hull City or Bolton Athletic. Let's just say Vernon didn't win ... But he signed my Hull City flag and posed for many photo's with me. He also (for some bizarre reason) started to kiss the ground and shout weird things at me. Maybe Vernon had heatstroke or has proper lost it.
Kat Deeley was behind Vernon, so I shouted to her to come and chat to me (well, my head nearly fell off when she came over and started talking to me). She is proper bo gorgeous! I passed her my Hull City flag which she kindly signed; To Chris, Bolton are class, Big Kiss, Cats XXX

I asked her to do a little dance with my Hull City flag, and to my amazement, she did! She acted a complete fool and she looked like she was having a fit (what a nutter) but she did blow me a kiss (which I caught).
I also had an arm-wrestle with The Bees (my second favourite band alongside Oasis). They were very nice blokes indeed and chatted to me for about 20 minutes.

The funny thing is, that the arm-wrestle was being filmed by NME and the NME photographer took loads of photo's of me and The Bees.
I thought I would do the same with Elbow and Kasabian and it is all caught on camera. Kasabian were a great laugh and told me that they are all Leicester City fans (and they hate Peter Taylor, our manager). So they signed the flag Peter Taylor, The Dream Wrecker ...and I hate Peter Taylor. Peter Taylor used to manage Leicester City Football Club, and didn't do too well apparently. It was so funny hearing them go on about him (they clearly hated him).
I had a grumpy chat with Badly Drawn Boy who was also grumpy on stage... I wonder what is wrong with him? He is one of my hero's but quite honestly, Mr. Gough, please get a shower and a good meal. I think I saw Weetabix in his beard (hmmm nice)

I met The Killers and had a good natter with them. Bloody nice chaps, actually!

I bumped into Simon Amstell from PopWorld and E4. It was funny because, I didn't know who he was until my friend told me afterwards ... I started chatting with this guy and said God, you look f****g wasted .... to which he replied I'm hungover and tired!
You had to be there and see his face (it was a picture). My friend took a photo of him looking well rough!
When we went to see Lottie in the Strongbow room (she's a DJ from Radio 1 by the way). Everyone was looking at her, 'cause she's so good looking and just to die for. I couldn't take my eyes off her, but she was smiling back (I think she thought I was a stalker) like Avid Merrion or Jed Maxwell from I'm Alan Partridge. I passed her my Hull City flag whilst she was DJ ing and she signed it Acid House lots of love Lottie. She also kissed the flag!
Me and my friend Alex met loads and loads of celebrities that weekend and I got loads of cool stuff from the bands we met, including .. A signed placard of Kasabian and The Bees .. An Elbow signed placard .. 2 Bees signed photos .. a V2004 programme signed by Badly Drawn Boy .. 2 V2004 tickets signed by Badly Drawn Boy, Kasabian, Elbow and The Bees .. A V2004 pass/line up signed by Lottie .. and of course .. my Hull City flag signed by all of the above bands and artists ..
I think I will lock this flag in a safe now ..... Accepting no offers below £2500!

I have bought 2 tickets for next years festival (V2005 Chelmsford) ....hmmm, I wonder who I will meet ?

Going Down - World Music Day at Queens Gardens Saturday 19th June By Jane Foster
I'd been praying that the rain would hold off for this very special event at Queens Gardens. Luckily it did for most of the day, and with bands from as far afield as Zimbabwe and Afghanistan, we all ended up dancing our little socks off.. The day was organised by Chris Smith at the Warren centre, and hats off to him for putting on a great event Read more...

Going Down - Cannabis March to smoky bears picnic in Pearson Park By Carl Wagner
The bullying nature of the so called war on drugs makes it difficult for many people to even voice an opinion on cannabis, so well done to the 100 or so that turned up for the 4th annual cannabis protest march. The march left Queens Gardens at 1.00 pm with a police escort, and noisily worked its' way through the city centre Read more...

Going Down - Get Your Tools Out, Girls! - Ladies Night at Nortech By Michelle Dee
On Tuesday 25th May I accompanied Cilla to Nortech Ladies Night on Drypool Way. I didn't really know what to expect. There were various trade stalls with impressive looking tools on show! We were welcomed immediately by the friendly faces of Nortech MD, Tony Cosgrove Read more...

Going Down - Rain Didn't Stop Voices In Play By Rich Mills
I awoke this morning to a miserable day. Quite depressing after all the glorious sun we've had lately. More so because today was to be a large out-door event organised by community activists Voices In Play. It's A Community Knockout, supposed to be held at Princess Read more...
