Endike Community Care Open Sweet Charity Shop
By Rich Mills
|
On Monday 11th October a welcomed resource opened up on the Bricknell Estate.
Endike Community Care, opened the doors of their new charity shop Sweet Charity,
on Hartoft Road. The shop was officially opened by Lord Mayor John Fareham.
Apart from generating income for the charity, the shop also gives them a base from
which to carry out work in the Bricknell area.
Bricknell Estate is an area much in need of services of any kind.
|
|
There is little currently in the way of services for the residents of
the estate, apart from those established and staffed by volunteers from
the local area itself.
It is hoped, I am sure, that the shop will become a focal point
for the community on that part of the estate.

Fisher Park By Richard Clancy, Kayleigh Gouldson and Taking Pictures By Kyle
|
|
I went to Fisher Park to make a film and take photographs of the local area.
I think that the graffiti on Fisher park 'sucks' because graffiti is horrible. It makes the area look worse than it already is.
I like living on Orchard Park, but it doesn't look very nice. The older youths in the area make it worse with all the graffiti they spray all over the place.

Opinions - Come On You Hull! By Laura Baldwin
|
|
So our latest award to sit alongside our much treasured worst city to live in the UK award'
is that of the fattest city in the UK. Yep, not content with telling us that we live in
the most crap city in the UK but apparently we're also a bunch of big lard arses as well. Charming.
It seems that no-one has anything good to say these days about the historic city of Hull.
