Wednesday 27th February 08 - Sandi Thom at Lamp, Hull
|
Yep, you read right folks. Superb Scottish singer-songwriter Sandi Thom
is indeed stopping by Hull on her forthcoming spring tour that's set to
consume February and March, climaxing in a few dates in France.
Best-known for her chart-storming single I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker
(with flowers in my hair), Sandi is on the verge of releasing the
follow-up to her debut album, Smile... It Confuses People.
Destined to draw legions more fans into the Sandi Thom fold, her new
album - Pink And The Lily - will undoubtedly re-iterate her talent as a songwriter.
The likes of Lily Allen, Kate Nash and Amy McDonald have released some fantastic
chart-friendly music over the past couple of years, but then so has Sandi.
And now it's time that she too took the nation by storm.
|
|
|
So why don't you do your bit to support her? She'll be down The Lamp on 27
February should you care to join her for what will be a stupendous night of
great tunes old and new.

Perhaps now and then on a reviews programme, radio or television, they may impart a few
paragraphs to give you a flavour of the whole, but rarely can you sit a few feet away as
they read.
When I heard from Richard Sutherland at Waterstones
