Saturday 9th June 07 - Bollywood In Hull - Outside BBC Centre 1.45pm -4pm

Hull and East Riding Hindu Cultural Association, with Hull City Council Events Team, will host a spectacular outdoor dance and music extravaganza this Saturday with fun for all the family. Bollywood In Hull will take place in the fountain area of Queen's Court (outside the BBC Centre).

This event will bring together people of all cultures and ages from the local community for a fun day with all the family and friends for an opportunity to sample the sights, sounds and smells of the Indian sub-continent.

With performances on stage and street entertainment, fashions/jewellery and accessories stalls, and a mouth-watering feast of Indian cuisine available from side stalls.
Attractions and entertainment will include:
  • Bombay Baja Brass Band
  • Gabru Punjab Da -Bhangra dancers
  • Bollywood dancers from Nikita Dancing Company
  • Annapurna Indian Dance Company, plus Devi Thaker of Nritya Dance Company
  • Stalls for dance workshops
  • Henna painting
