Friday 18th May 07 - Autism Awareness And Health Issues Conference At The Octagon Centre, Hull 9am- 3pm
|
This conference includes a consultation on behalf of the Chief Nursing Officer of
the Department of Health into the training of Learning Disability Nurses.
Children and adults with autistic spectrum disorders have all the same health needs as anyone else.
- How are these met?
-
Do you think nurses in hospitals, G.P Surgeries, Health Visitors and school nurses
should have specialist training?
-
How do you feel about the CAMHS Teams and the Community Learning Disability Nurse Teams -
should there be a separate branch for autism?
|
|
|
This is a unique opportunity as this review will change how some of the services are
delivered in the future.
There will also be workshops on growing up with autism, teenage issues, sex education and health
action planning,
Please contact Julie on 01482 797705 for more details.
