Wednesday 26th September - Saturday 29th September 07 - Beverley Chamber Music Festival
|
This year, Beverley Chamber Music Festival features a special guest appearance by actor
Timothy West who will read the war poetry of Wilfred Owen. Here is the full festival line-up:
Wednesday 26th September
7.30pm - Piano recital by Ashley Wass (including Beethoven's Pathétique sonata, Elgar's piano
transcription of his famous Enigma Variations and works by Liszt and Debussy).

Thursday 27th September
1.00pm - Moray Welsh will perform three of Beethoven's cello sonatas, accompanied by Martin Roscoe.
7.30pm - The Skampa String Quartet and Martin Roscoe will play works by Krejci, Beethoven and Franck.

Friday 28th September
10.00am - Moray Welsh will coach local young musicians in a workshop for piano
and string ensembles (no admission).
1.00pm - Moray Welsh and Martin Roscoe will play the remaining two Beethoven
cello sonatas
7.30pm - Actor Timothy West reads the poetry of Wilfred Owen. Matthew Trusler
will perform sonatas by
Jan&abrave;ék, Debussy and Elgar, accompanied on the piano by
Martin Roscoe.

Saturday 29th September
1:00pm - Moray Welsh will be joined by the East Riding Youth Orchestra in a piece by Tchaikovsky.
2:30pm - A member of London Winds will coach local wind ensembles in an informal workshop (no admission).
7.30pm - The final concert of the festival sees the London Winds perform an attractive mixed programme,
featuring works by Arnold, Mozart and Rossini.
