Sunday 18th June 2006 - The Very Bohemian Revolution at Zest, Newland Avenue 7pm til Late
|
Rapidly growing in popularity like far-right politics in 1930s Germany, The Bohemian Revolution
at Zest is fast becoming Hull's number one place to be on a Sunday night.
Over the past few weeks we've had beautiful tap dancing students, angry and bitter experimental
rock musicians, five year old children singing the theme to Spiderman, bald men singing comedy
songs so rude that people have actually wet themselves... Everything and anything goes.
|
|
It is more than an open mic night, it is what it says on the walls - it is a bohemian revolution.
And we want YOU to join in the revolution. If you've always wanted to play music to an
audience but have been scared you will be laughed at - this supportive bohemian atmosphere
is for you.
If you've got an anecdote or a joke that you want to tell in public but are scared you wont
be laughed at - Zest is the place to be this coming Sunday... If you've got nothing to perform?
Well then just come in and join our warm and lovely supportive crowd of bohemians young
and old... you'll get the best free entertainment you could ever wish for.
|
|
Regular hosts Cracktown are away for the week and so on the 18th of June the night will
be hosted by their young producer (Happily Amateurish Productions) and Fox's new best
friend who is, for reasons best left unsaid, a middle-aged Scottish former policewoman.
The Cracktown-less night will consist of a 'best of' of the regular Zest performers
and an emphasis on supporting those who are brave enough to try new things.
The night starts at 7, gets really good (and very busy) around nine so get there early,
get some food (the menu is amazing) and get a chair... you are in for a treat.
