Saturday 28th October 06 - Make A Difference Day With Hull Wildlife Watch, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Tree Nursery, Newland Allotments 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm

Make a Difference Day is the UK's biggest single day of volunteer action. As part of this, Hull Wildlife Watch are going to be planting out wild flowers, willow weaving, looking after the young nursery trees, and saving tree seeds at the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust tree nursery on Newland Allotments.

If you'd like to join them, there will be a morning and afternoon session to choose from. The afternoon session will also include a celebration of autumn using nuts, berries and fruit in a creative way, and a wildlife exploration. You could even come for the whole day and bring a picnic!
Please wear strong footwear, or wellies as the grass is quite long and is usually very wet with dew at this time of year. Wear warm old clothes, and bring waterproofs. Some age 5-9 gardening gloves will be provided.

The action is in the south-west corner of the allotments, reached through the Manvers Street entrance, via Edgecumbe Street, off Newland Avenue, Hull. There is an alternative entrance via Tavistock Street. If you have a problem finding the group on the day, please phone Ann Rayner on 07963 687048.
For more information about Hull Wildlife Watch, please contact Ann on 01482 631220 or email j.d.rayner@hull.ac.uk.
