Saturday 24th June 2006 - Urban Artz Festival In East Park 12 - 8pm
|
On the 24th June 12 - 8pm Urban Artz, an independent arts and music
community project, will be holding a mini festival at East Park to celebrate
the park's new developments. The festival is funded by Hull Community Investment Fund
and East Park (Hull City Council Parks and Gardens).
Urban Artz is an umbrella project that is working with local arts
and music groups, bringing them together to create a festival feel in the local area.
The main aim of the project is about highlighting young peoples' culture and
its value to our society.
The day will consist of:

Hip hop graffiti art by Projekt Feenix (AKA Mung Productions).
Dance tent hosted by Foghorn Productions
Young people's dance tent.
Lonsdale Community sounds.
Media tent hosted by Focal Image and Creatrix - a selection of locally made films and photography.

Bohemian Revolution tent
RTCE Productions
Local favourites solo acoustic and more. Also including exclusive readings from local authors.

They will also be stalls provided to enable local community projects to advertise their services.

Coming Up - Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th June 06 - Hull Blokes On Air

Hull's best known writing and theatre company returns for its fourth Humber Mouth Festival.
In a performance which will be filmed for simultaneous live transmission on the Blokes'
own website, they present their own TV show, offering the chance to be part of a living,
breathing reality TV experience.
