Coming Up Gigs

Acoustic Alarm Tour with Mike Peters - April 2005 next page

Mike Peters will be taking his extensive Alarm repertoire out on the road in the U.K. for an 'all request' acoustic tour throughout the month of April 2005.

As lead singer of The Alarm for over 21 years, The Alarm can lay claim to a series of 14 Top 50 Singles, seven successful albums and over 5 million sales worldwide. The Alarm 's pioneering use of acoustic guitars brought the band into direct contact with the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and U2, who have all appeared and sung on stage with The Alarm.
Mike Peters and The Alarm pioneered the use of acoustic guitars back in the early eighties helping to create what is now known as the electro-acoustic sound of today; the sound behind such memorable Alarm hits as 68 Guns, Rain in the Summertime, Where Were You Hiding When The Storm Broke? and Absolute Reality.

On this special tour, Mike Peters will be performing songs chosen specifically by his dedicated following of fans who will have the chance to dictate the content of the shows at the venue on the night.
Mike and The Alarm have just performed at the 13th annual Alarm event The Gathering which completely sold out (1500 tickets: Jan 28-29). Mike Peters will use the tour to launch The Gathering DVD Box Set Collection - an eight DVD set together with a personalised filmed dedication disc.

Mike will be filming dedications live on stage during the tour and these performances will be included in the individual box sets.
Mike Peters, who has just recently completed a 20 date UK Tour as Special Guest to Status Quo has not performed a solo acoustic U.K. tour since 2000, concentrating on the worldwide commitments of The Alarm and controversial chart success of 45 R.P.M. / The Poppy Fields. The story of 45 R.P.M. has become the inspiration for a major motion picture which will be shot in the U.K. by Shrek producer John H. Williams and British film director Sara Sugarman.

Mike Peters and The Alarm will be creating the soundtrack for the film and will be preparing a new studio album for release later in the year 2005. During the tour, Mike Peters will preview new material from the proposed as yet untitled new album.
Song Requests
Song requests must be handed in at Merchandise Desk before the concert begins. Please allow plenty of time for your request to be passed on to Mike Peters on the night

Have your song filmed for prosperity
If you would like your song request to be filmed for prosperity, you can order your DVD Gathering Boxset Collection in conjunction with the tour.
You can arrange for Mike to perform your chosen song publicly on the night of the concert and your song will then be filmed and converted into your very own Dedication DVD. Please email mpo@alarmpo.demon.co.uk and a member of MPO staff will contact you to explain the procedure involved.
