Friday 7th - Saturday 8th October - Made In Hull 2005 at Hull Screen Cinema, Albion Street 7.30pm

For the fifth year running, Creatrix is hosting the Made In Hull film event, a showcase for locally produced short film. The events take place at the Hull Screen Cinema on Albion Street on Friday the 7th and Saturday the 8th of October starting at 7.30pm. Entry is free!

Made In Hull 2005 will showcase over 45 films from 10 seconds to 10 minutes long, made by local film makers. This year's event features everything from documentaries to comedies. A Shot In The Dark is a short documentary exploring the danger of childhood vaccines and includes an interview with the parent of a vaccine damaged child.
The film examines the supposed effectiveness of vaccines and challenges the claim that vaccines were responsible for reducing disease. Should the credit for declining infectious diseases be given to clean water supplies, waste disposal and higher incomes? This film will set you thinking. And how about a remake of Apocalypse Now, 30 seconds long and starring Tinker the dog in her second major film role?

Friday night will feature many films made by young people. Missing is a docu-drama about bullying made by drama students from a Hull secondary school. Streetcrime, made by teenagers from the Taboo Project is an insightful look at peoples' perceptions of crime in the Holderness Road area of the city.
Ten year old Annie Kingsworth is showing the film No TV, which she made when her dad cut the TV aerial wire and told the family to get a hobby!
Photo opportunities are available with local film makers, cameras etc.
