Stonehardy - John Hardy who left Hull two years ago to live in Nottingham, will be returning to the Lamp on with his band Stonehardy. They played a slot there in February and th Lamp were very keen to have them back. It's singer songwriter territory, backed up by a band of accomplished musicians, including a double bass and percussion, occasionally an accordion joins the mix, played by Loreto Murray, who also provides guitar and backing vocals.

The band varies which instruments they play, meaning that it doesn't all sound the same.

Stonehardy are keen to play some of their new songs, one of which is a reaction to the death of Arthur Miller. So who could they be likened to? John has no idea but suggests that if you like quiet intelligent music then you'd like this. Why shout about it when you believe in what you're doing?" he says.

Tegwen Roberts - A rising star of the new folk scene, singer songwriter Tegwen Roberts makes her first appearance in her hometown in over seven years. Now based in Sheffiled, Tegwen recently released her first album on Rootbeat Records called I Think I Thought I Knew in collaboration with Martin Harwood.
