Favours at Yo-Yo LiveLab, The Welly on Saturday 7th August

On Saturday 7th August 2004 The Favours will be the next band in the cities popular Yo-Yo indie nights LiveLab at The Welly. It will also be the official album launch party for their album called Magpies Revenge. The Hull four piece have been really busy recently with a string of dates across the country which conclude with an appearance at Joyfeste at Hackney Ocean in London on the 14th August, when the band will be playing alongside some of the best new bands around, including 80 Matchbox B-line Disaster, M.A.S.S. and Artbrut.

The appearance at Yo-Yo is an exclusive, so if you want to see them in Hull then this will be your only chance for a while. The album has 11 tracks the bulk of which were recorded in June by legendary knob-twiddler Brian O'Shaughnessy (My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream, Beth Orton etc). The first place in the world where you'll be able to buy this CD is at Yo-Yo on Saturday 7th August.
