The Ferens Art Gallery is delighted to host a new exhibition Heavier Than Air, by Glasgow artist Tom McKendrick. Heavier Than Air is a dramatic installation piece that mixes kinetic sculpture, painting, light and sound to strong atmospheric effect. Aircraft and Airshows - The Yorkshire Airshow - Elvington 2003 By Tony
What a pleasure to be here for 2 days (24th - 25th August)! We were fully entertained with a diverse mix of aircraft. Both days of the flying program opened with the superb Red Arrows. Unfortunately, on the first day they had to abort their display for safety reasons when three light aircraft strayed in to the six mile display zone. Reviews, Books - "Cradle Song" by Robert Edric

Being a bit of sucker for crime fiction, and more pertinently, hard-boiled private investigator stories, I picked up this book purely on the basis it fulfilled the above criteria and is set in Hull.
Upon further investigation it turns out this is the first part of a trilogy set on the mean streets of Hull by Booker Prize nominated Robert Edric. Read more...
