Get Stuffed! West Hull Warren serves up Christmas Turkey in the Park Wednesday 17th December - Starts 12 noon and Ends when everyone is stuffed!

At Christmas time last year, young people at the West Hull Warren staged an unusual and tasty event - they threw a huge Christmas dinner celebration for anyone and everyone - at Pickering Park! It was an unqualified success. Over 170 people of all ages joined in the fun and tucked into a proper turkey dinner, complete with stuffing and gravy, followed by mince pies.

Paul Harper, project worker at The Warren told us about the Turkey in the Park proposals for this year. He said that as 2002 was such a roaring success, they really had to do it again this year. The Warren relies on contributions from local companies as well as individuals to supply them with provisions for the day. Here's a list of what they need this year:

On the 'What we would rather like' list are Barbecues (as many as possible) Lighting (all kinds and as much as possible) and anything else novelty or otherwise. Entertainment will include Christmas Karaoke and a visit from Santa himself! Coming Up - Live and Kicking - Sound - at Jaz Café Bar, 41 Lowgate, Hull Sundays 6pm - 10.30pm
	Young local artist Jason Karlson has organised a brand new n event to give local live artistes a chance to perform in public. The first of his Sunday evening 'open mic' type gatherings will be 14th December. I asked Jason about the event and he said, Basically the gig is to try and promote more new music and creativity in Hull by giving people a stage on which to present thier material for free.
