Shinobi Birthday at the Welly Club, Hull - 6th February 04

On Friday 6th February 2004 the Hull Drum & Bass outfit Shinobi celebrate their 2nd Birthday at the Welly club (Upstairs).

On the decks will be local heroes Mikey J, Georgey and on the mic will be Mc A.O.B. To celebrate the 2nd birthday Shinobi welcome to Hull for the first time - Nicky Blackmarket, voted the best jungle DJ of 2003 at this years official Drum & Bass awards in London. Nicky Blackmarket is a worldwide phenomenon in his own right! He's been one of the DJs at the forefront of the Drum & Bass scene since rave and hardcore right through to jungle and D&B.

As half owner of the globally famous Blackmarket Records (D'Arblay Street, London) Nicky must be a man who can survive on little sleep! He can be found most days working behind the counter of the shop and most nights working behind the decks in various events up and down the country. It is due to this high demand that you know Nicky will always play a quality set that is bound to bring the house down!

And as a final treat on the night, hot new talent Shlomo who has recently supported Grandmaster Flash and Public Enemy as well as appearing on radio 1 and a cameo appearance on hit soap 'Eastenders' will be Human Beatboxing his way through the night.

Doors open at 10pm - 3am. Arrive early to avoid disappointment! £6 b4 11pm / £8 after. Also in the Welly Ballroom will be Eat your Words - Hard house and Trance with Amber D on the decks.
