16th - 22nd September - European Mobility Week - Safe Streets For Children

From 16th to 22nd September European citizens will again have the opportunity to participate in events dedicated to sustainable mobility.
The challenge Europe has given us is In town without my car!

However, our government and more particularly our Local Council have chosen to ignore this official Europe-wide week of events. We at RECLAIM THE STREETS, wish to celebrate this week of events happening all across Europe, with an event of our own in Hull.
WHY IS HULL, THE SUPPOSED HOME TOWN OF MR. PRESCOTT IGNORING THIS EUROPE WIDE EVENT?
Safe streets are a necessary condition for sustainable mobility for children. Children will only be allowed to go out on foot or take their bikes, if their parents can trust them to come home safe and sound.

Safe streets for children are very important:

Children are vulnerable road users: Each year 2163 young people under the age of 17 are killed in traffic. Most accidents happen on the way to and from school.
Children should have the right to travel alone. Fewer and fewer trips are made by children by themselves. In this way, they lack traffic experience. This puts them even at more risk in complex traffic situations.

It seems John Prescott and Hull City Council care nothing for our children! BUT WE DO! Reclaim Our Streets!

Single Reviews - Still Life at the wheel By Michelle Dee
After a promising start, a distinctive vocal, which can only be described through emotions rather than words, tells a story of a road trip gone sour. Short chords punctuate the verse and, at the wheel, gathers pace. The chorus kicks in followed by rolling guitars. One or two of the backing vocals seem superfluous but Read more...
