Coming Up Music Gigs
Wednesday 1st September Charity Gig with
Killer of Saints, Critic, Swordface and Gloria Mundi -
Hornsea Floral Hall
Stacie Hicks has recently started voluntary work at the Hornsea resource centre with people with learning difficulties. She was so taken aback by the wonderful work the staff did there, she felt they deserved some recognition so she's organised a fund raising gig at the Hornsea Floral Hall.

A lot of amazing local bands will be performing such as Killer of saints, Critic, Swordface and Gloria Mundi, who have all shown overwhelming support even to the point one band is cancelling a gig on the same day so they can help towards the charity!
Stacie said; It will be a fantastic day with awesome music. Everyone is really pulling together for this small almost unknown centre. I have had numerous offers of help from people aged from 15 to 50. It's a real show of the community pulling together.
I first thought of organising a gig as I am amazingly addicted to everything alternative, especially the music! I play the drums, bass and guitar I'm in a band called Paranoid Delusion.

The gig on 1st is an opportunity for people of all ages to learn about the resource centre and the work it does. I'm hoping it will help strengthen socially excluded groups and fight discrimination and the stigma surrounding people with learning difficulties.
It also shows that not all teenagers (even the ones with chains and peircings... like me!) are self obsessed trouble makers!
As well as helping these amazingly talented bands to get a little more well known, it's going to be a great day for the youngsters of Hornsea. Normally the most interesting thing to do here is watch TV, wonder around aimlessly or poke crisp packets with sticks! So this gig may inspire people to pick up instruments and get more out of music, in a really cool way.

The gig is from 1pm until 5.30pm.
