New alternative band - ..divided by time
By Andrew Martin
|
..divided by time originates from jamming sessions between Andy Martin (vocals, guitar) and Tom Steer (guitar, vocals) from over 2 years ago.
From these sessions came the basis of their songs which were only completed with the addition of Dan Robinson (bass, vocals) and Nick Phillips (drums) in mid-late 2003.
|
|
|
Now a whole band, ..divided by time are searching for gigs in and around Hull, although they will be attempting to go further a field in the summer.
Currently, ..divided by time have 2 gigs planned for the this month. In the next few months the band will be attempting to get as much gigging experience as possible and also seek to record a CD.
|
..divided by time have a full set of original material and would name their main writing influences as:
the Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age and REM. However, newer material seems to be moving in a
more experimental and diverse direction (influenced by bands such as the Velvet Underground, the Mars Volta and A Perfect Circle).
The band hopes to be playing this material at their gigs in April.
They're quietly hopeful people will be impressed by their material and also their live performances.
This is their chance to fulfil all their dreams!
