Thursday 4th November - Thirteen Senses and Turismo At Sweet N Sour - The Welly
|
Spectral indie with an epic feel, Thirteen Senses' ripping debut single Thru The Glass
was a Radio 1 fave and the NME put them on their 2004 Hot List -
as well as sending them on the road as part of the NME Bratpack tour,
alongside fellow rising stars the 22-20s and The Ordinary Boys.
Hailing from deepest Cornwall and armed with a heart-melting sound that combines
tough rockers like Thru The Glass with piano-led tear-jerkers like Automatic and History,
these fresh-face 21-year-olds are already taking their place in the upper
echelons of the indie scene, and have secured coveted support slots with the
likes of The Charlatans and Starsailor.
|
|
With new single Into the Fire all over the radio again, and debut album The Invitation
set to cement them into the public consciousness, 2005 looks theirs for the taking.
Sound like the ghosts that haunt Starsailor in the night - Drowned in Sound
Big music with bigger still vistas… corking stuff - NME

Turismo do strange things with music.
They sound like they're messing around, but their sound and their tightness are
obviously things that they've worked hard on. Everything about them is kind of quirky.
They've nailed a sound that owes as much to The Cure as it does to the
newest wave of guitar music. In short, they're keeping things interesting,
but giving them a bit of character. Check the band Gallery
