Thursday 28th October - Blue Sand, The Landaus Misshapen Lodge and Silence in the Streets @Thee Box Asylum

Don't forget tickets are still available but be quick cause time is running out. Blue Sand return to Hull after their triumphant gig at the Welly and the release of their new single Chlorine Eyes. This is already receiving airplay on local radio. There are a lot of developments in the Sand camp including interest from Mute clothing company, a new studio; yet more gigs, this time at the Linnet and Lark, and interest from as far a field as Australia. Catch Blue Sand and hear their own brand of energized Indie rock.

The Landaus the young pretenders to the throne of Hulls exciting music scene. Having supported Riley and Speedway lately they are no strangers to the Asylum. Their ages belies their incredible musical talent lively rock funk Have been compared to Electric Six and Shed Seven but with a Chilli Peppers edge. Their raw, adrenalin fuelled magic never fails to please. The Landaus are on the brink of major recognition already acclaimed in Ireland and other parts of Europe. Soon to be taking on the rest of the world too.

Misshapen Lodge - The reclusive musical magicians will be showcasing a rare insight into the wonderful world of music without boundary. Influenced by Godspeed and Mogwai they play experimental soundscape rock. An experience not to be missed, due to the improvised nature each show is truly a one off.

Silence in the Streets - Only a year old and already making people sit up and take note of what they are about. Think Rage Against The Machine crossed with System of a Down . Having turned Sundays at the Adelphi on its head they have incredible passion and vitality. Expect loud metal with darker elements thrown in. Enjoy this eclectic line up of just some of what Hulls diverse music scene has to offer.
