The Annette Burley School of Dancing.

The Annette Burley School of Dancing has been teaching dancers for 30 years; a real feat in this day and age of business! On 21st February 1976 Annette Burley opened her first dance school in the Bilton Village Hall, where she still teaches today. Other branches of the school now include Neasden Primary School and the Hull and St. Andrews Community Centre, Sutton Park,Hull.

Amy Sharpless

Fully qualified in all subjects, Annette and her daughter Janine Burley work with their pupils who include children from the age of 3 years through to very advanced students, towards examinations. They describe classes as happy and friendly, whilst still operating a structured dance school with traditional technique and a modern up-to-date style.

Anna Warvill

The Annette Burley School of Dancing is a nationally accredited Dance School of Excellence - an accolade awarded by the Stage Dance Council UK. Recent achievements include students taking examinations with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing with outstanding results and four Students from The Annette Burley School of Dancing have been nominated for BATD UK Ballet Scholarships.

Amy Sharpless age 14, Hannah Camsell-Parker age 12, Anna Warvill age 13 and Sophie Clark age 13 are pupils of The Annette Burley School of Dancing, Hull.

The four are amongst the elite best of the best ballerinas in the UK and were given the scholarship nominations after examinations in July when over 200 Honours and Highly Commendeds were awarded. The girls will now compete with the select few chosen in the Ballet Scholarships held at Southport at the end of September.

Sophie Clark

These superb results maintain the schools high standard status as a nationally accredited school of excellence recognised by the Stage Dance Council International.
