Pain is a Simple Word
By Mr Pain in the Butt

Like many words Pain has just four letters. It is short and easily just rolls off of the lips.

Pain; Used to describe things ranging from a stubbed toe to a woman giving birth to her first born child - Pain! What a simple everyday word!

To me Pain is all of these and more. Pain is laying awake night after night unable to sleep because the F**king Pain is keeping me awake because every movement I make is sheer agony to the point where I want to cry but the Pain is so bad that the tears have long since dried up.
Pain is watching your family go off each day and feeling like you are trapped and for every day that goes past it gets harder and harder to leave the house because fear sets in that it will hurt if you go for a walk

Pain is hate filled with fear and fear is filled with hate because the Pain is so painful that the fear of it stops you from doing anything that will cause you to do something you hate because you know it is going to cause you even more Pain, like tying your shoelaces or never being able to play the guitar again
Pain is trying to put on a brave face each day and tell people that you're ok but you've had a restless night BUT - you're ok and nothing can keep a good man down for long! And no matter what, you get up each day because people think that's what you're supposed to say because that's what they have come to expect from you

The pain is now too F**king much, but I say that with a genuine smile because I can sit here night after night talking to people on the internet or sending emails to people I don't even know just to see if they respond to my strange messages - hoping that the pain will soon ease and I will become so tired that I will fall asleep and then when I awake hopefully I wont feel quite so bad about having yet another sleepless f**king pain-filled night.
