Messages At Christmas
By Graham Lee
|
There is a dilemma for every medium and it is this: when is it appropriate to pass on
messages from spirit, and when is it best left alone? Many times I have been in a
crowded room or on a train and I have been given hints of spirit information for the
strangers around me.
Not once have I ever offered any of them a message because I have always felt it
to be very inappropriate.
Sometimes when I am speaking to someone I can get information relating to their
friends or work colleagues which I often relate to the person I'm talking to.
|
|
|
Several such incidents have cropped up over the Christmas period.
The first of which happened at my Brother-In-Law's house.
Whilst sat in the living room watching the kids opening their presents I
became aware of the spirit of a young woman with curly dark hair standing on the stairs.
|
|
I sensed that her name was Mandy and she seemed to be wearing a denim baseball
cap and was carrying a box down the stairs.
|
Mandy seemed to be connected to my Sister-In-Law rather than the Brother-In-Law, and
because I don't really know her very well I felt it best not to mention it.
It was only later on the way home in the car that I told my wife about it.
She told me that Mandy was indeed connected to my Sister-In-Law, they were close friends.
Mandy had been a decorator and had decorated the hallway and stairs of my
Sister-In-Law's house, which is why I was seeing her on the stairs.
I felt that the box was a gift of some kind and this was her way of telling me
she wanted to offer a Christmas greeting to her friend.
|
|
|
I took it upon myself to tell my Sister-In-Law all about it the day after and
she seemed pleased to get the message.
|
|
The second message of this nature was given for a person I have never even met.
My father works in a nursing home in West Yorkshire and had the misfortune to
be working on Christmas day!
I had called him in the morning to wish him a merry Christmas and he told me
that he would be doing a night shift at the home.
As he said this I heard someone mention the name Elsie.
I asked my Father if there was an Elsie at the home and he said yes.
|
I said Tell Elsie that Bill is wishing her a merry Christmas.
It took a while to place the name Bill, my Father said that Elsie's husband had been
named Wilf and asked me if it could be him.
I got a loud statement of agreement from Wilf, I had simply miss-heard the
name and it is not uncommon for this to happen.
|
Sometimes I may feel like I have the name Barry in mind but it could easily
be Gary, Harry, Carrie or even Sally at a stretch.
Many mediums find that the odd letter of a name is very strong and the rest
of it is often missing or difficult to hear.
The oddest part of this story is that I happened to mention this to my Grandfather
the same day and he said Well, I actually know an Elsie at the home and I used
to visit her before your Father started to work there, she is the wife of one
of my old work colleagues.
|
|
|
I asked him what the colleague's name was and he said Wilf.
I was pretty gobsmacked, but it felt good to be able to offer such a gift to a
complete stranger at Christmas!
