Kingswood High School Hosts an Art Exhibition Primary Colours for Fair Trade from school children in Hull
Gallery 1
By Mo
|
Last Thursday saw the launch of a 10 day exhibition called Primary Colours at Kingswood High School, Bransholme.
Featured was artwork from a number of local primary schools - The Dales and Coleford - both under
threat of closure - and Cleeve, Bude and other primary schools in the area.
I was invited along by Martin Deane Green Party Hull North Candidate pictured right.
Also in this gallery is artwork from Kingswood students themselves on show at this time.

The inspiration was a Fairtrade compeititon launched by Hull City Council.
The People's Choice winner was Jade Warelow of Year 6, The Dales, with an entry
called Tug of War,
a collection of chocolate bar wrappers as if in a tug of war showing how our luxury sweets are at
the expense of the people who farm cocoa across the world.
The Dales also won a number of other prizes in the competition.
We believe in bringing the world into our school, says headteacher Maureen Spencer.
Why not see if your work of art is here too?
Which one is your favourite?

Post-Impressionism had been my favourite kind of art for long before that.
I think it has a basic relevance that will never be exhausted.
Renaissance paintings are also very
