I've always been a picture person. I admit I just look at the pictures. I like pictures very much. I've dipped in and out of being an 'artist' and spent intense times doing it followed by intense times not doing it. Life, work and drudgery often got in the way and the focus got blurred, so much so that there have been long times when I was unable 'see' anything beyond immediacy. I studied art at my most intense in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This is where I found I did have an ability, and found inspiration easy to come by, being surrounded by all forms of art, and all sorts of artists, all the time.

But after leaving I fell asleep and lived a long slumber of not being true to myself. I am yawning awake now and have put two feet down onto a place of discovery, discovering that I can do pictures, and sometimes they are ok. I don't pretend to know much about art. I enjoy it, I'm drawn to it. It is fundamental to me. My greatest teacher, and the one that I should have listened to a time ago was Irene Delka McCray www.delkamccray.com (her art is not to everyone's taste and not necessarily mine, but she is incredible).

Thankfully her words have not been lost on me forever...and I have time to pick them up from where I fell asleep. Here is a gallery of my 'stuff'; the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful. Thanks for looking.
